Ready to explore Universal Studios Orlando this Christmas? Read on!
This year, if you want to venture outside of Disney for your holiday festivities, check out Universal Studios! These parks have the holiday season perfectly wrapped in a bow for you and your family to enjoy.
You won't see Mickey, Minnie, and the Disney gang here, but instead, you'll get to catch up with so many other beloved characters! Kids and adults alike will be charmed by the festive food, decor, events, and celebrations. So what are you waiting for? Get those bags packed and prepare for your holiday trip!
Here's your OFFICIAL guide for all of Universal Studios Orlando's holiday cheer!
I had to start with my personal favorite! From November 12th to January 1st, Seuss Landing (on Islands of Adventure) turns into the wonderful, whimsical Whoville. There, the Grinch makes his way down from Mount Crumpit to meet guests.
For the first time in three years, you can enjoy a character breakfast with Mr. Mean One himself over at Circus McGurkus Café Stoo-pendous. After indulging in all the Green Eggs and Roast Beast, you will be sure to find Christmas cheer from wandering Whos around the park.
Finally, while you're immersed in all the “Holiday who-be what-ee?” throughout Who-ville don't forget to catch a showing of The Grinchmas™ Who-liday Spectacular. This live show is a hilarious retelling of the classic tale, featuring music, Whovians, and Max the dog--and starring the Grinch himself!
Thanksgiving isn't the only time you can catch the famous Macy's parade balloons! From November 12th through January 1st, you can watch the larger-than-life balloons take the air at Universal Studios Orlando. The parade also features
festively-dressed dancers, entertainers, costumed characters, and decorated floats!
You'll be sure to see the iconic Macy star balloons, and all your Dreamwork favorites, too. Make sure to wave to the giant Minion balloons as they fly overhead!
Everyone knows that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a classic Christmas watch. But what's better than watching Hogwarts on your TV? Experiencing it in person! From now until January 1st, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is enchanted with holiday magic. Both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are bedecked in their Christmas best! Now's the perfect time to order a steaming cup of Butterbeer and watch the special holiday performances around the parks. And when dusk falls, don't forget to catch the magnificent holiday-themed fireworks and light show over Hogwarts!
Which Universal Studios experience will be your new holiday tradition?
Personally, Grinchmas is my favorite part of Universal during the holidays. My kids and I love that they take a classic character and bring him to life! But no matter which event you attend, you're sure to enjoy a little extra wonder in the most wonderful time of the year. (And if you can't make them all this year, there's always 2023!)
